Abstract: Integrating the triple concepts, including statistical process monitoring, maintenance, and inventory planning, has attracted the attention of researchers. Although such integration can lead to the reduction of costs, it creates a more complex problem. In the literature on triple-concept modelling, multi-component systems with different configurations have not been investigated yet. In this study, an integrated triple-concept modelling of a system with a series-parallel configuration is developed. The system produces one type of product at a constant rate and uses an X-bar control chart to monitor quality characteristics. Due to system failure over time, maintenance actions are carried out according to the conditions of the components. The structural importance measure is applied to consider the condition of components. A particle swarm optimisation algorithm is used to obtain the optimal solution(s). A numerical example, some comparisons, and sensitivity analysis are presented to indicate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
