Abstract: Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative force in FinTech, particularly in India. This paper analyses blockchain-based FinTech business models in India through a literature review, qualitative research, and data collection from interviews and case studies. The study uncovers diverse business models, including remittances, supply chain finance, identity verification, lending, insurance, and payments, involving stakeholders like financial institutions, tech companies, startups, as well as government agencies. It identifies key success factors, challenges, and regulatory considerations. The findings offer valuable insights into blockchain's potential for FinTech in India, informing decision-making for businesses and policymakers. The paper concludes with implications for the industry and identifies areas for further research. Overall, it highlights the significance of blockchain technology in shaping the Indian FinTech landscape.
