Abstract: Employee creativity significantly influences the growth of organisations. This study aims to investigate the influence of transformational leadership on fostering employee creativity through mediating factors, including innovation climate, knowledge sharing, and creative self-efficacy, in the public organisation context. This study used the snowball sampling approach to conduct a data survey of 461 respondents working in the public sector in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Tests of the research hypotheses using the structural equation modelling approach show that transformational leadership does not influence employee creativity directly but indirectly by promoting employees' creative self-efficacy, knowledge sharing and innovation climate. The results provide managerial implications for encouraging employee creativity in the public sector. Limitations and opportunities for future research are also highlighted.
