Abstract: Recommender systems are widely used to provide users with appropriate items and have emerged in response to the problem of information overload. The measuring method of user relationship in social networks is the core of personalised recommendation. To a certain extent, the measuring quality of users' relationship determines the accuracy of recommendation results. In this paper, we design a new measuring method of user relationship which considers direct and indirect relationships among users. The experimental results on two famous microblog data sets show that the presented algorithm is of high performance.
