International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business (IJESB), Vol. 35, No. 3, 2018

Abstract: Korean female entrepreneurs have shown a dramatic increase from both quantity and quality perspectives, and studies have been dedicated to this topic for almost 20 years. However, it is hard to find any study reviewing the large body of research performed by Korean scholars for the last two decades on this topic. Therefore, this study aims at systematically reviewing previous studies in terms of three aspects: 1) bibliography; 2) methodology; 3) research focus, uncovering major issues with Korean studies and suggesting opportunities for future research. This study also shows how Korean female entrepreneurs have grown and what their characteristics are.
