Abstract: Sharing information is regarded as one of the most effective ways of improving supply chain (SC) performance. Data collected from the middle, senior and top level management executives of automotive industries in India is used to test the relationships between the constructs in the model through the application of multiple regression analysis. The results supported the proposed multiple linear regression model development. The results of the analysis indicate that all the factors that are considered to have a direct and significant influence on SC performance. The study is further extended to examine whether there is any significant difference, among the four levels of organisations such as OEM, TIER1, TIER2 and TIER3 with respect to the dimensions of information sharing that influences the performance of SC. The findings can help the firms to identify the areas that need attention to achieve better SC performance.
