Abstract: To survive in the competition of supply chains, third-party warehousing providers are utilising new value-added services. We aim to fill the gap in the literature on value-added services in warehousing. Four leading third-party logistics companies in New Zealand were investigated. We found that production transformation and reverse logistics are the most commonly offered services. However, there is still room for further utilisation in vendor-managed inventory and cross-docking. Finally, information technologies were found to be widely utilised in third-party warehousing.
