Time series difference of collaborative evolution of industrial structure of the urban agglomeration along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River

Abstract: The urban agglomeration along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is one of the most important regional economic poles in China and its industrial structure is the key to the economic growth of this region. Based on the methodology of system theory and synergy, this paper constructs the 'concentration-deviation' measure system of industrial collaborative development. According to the 'concentration-deviation' assessment of the evolution of industrial structure of the urban agglomeration along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River from 2004 to 2014, the paper points out the features and problems concerning optimisation of industrial structure and then offers strategies accordingly.
