Abstract: The number of layers increasing in layered composites can lead to improving fatigue strength but should be accompanied by reducing in thickness of individual layers while maintaining the thickness of the common blank. An experimental study of the sheet blanks thickness influence produced from AA20124 and Al-1%Mn aluminium alloys with 1 mm initial thickness in their mechanical properties and the stamping ratio in the cold rolled hardened and annealed state is carried out. AA2024 alloy turned out to be low plastic during rolling in the annealed and quenched state, and when the annealed samples are heated to the temperature of 500°C with a reduction ratio of 50-60%. Rolling of this alloy blanks led to the appearance of lateral cracks. During the rolling of Al-1%Mn alloy the individual sheets were joined into the multilayered billet. It was found that the reduction in thickness of the blanks leads to an increase in the tensile strength and yield strength of cold-rolled specimens and to a decrease in these values in the annealed samples. The elongation decreases in cold-rolled specimens and increases in the annealed ones. The stamping ratio increases insignificantly with decreasing thickness of cold-rolled specimens and practically does not change with decreasing thickness for samples in the annealed state.
