Abstract: Researchers in the past have presented their economic order quantity (EOQ) models by considering that the demand rate is constant. However, it is not always true. This paper deals with an inventory model for nonlinear induced demand rate. Holding cost is considered as: 1) a nonlinear stock-dependent; 2) a nonlinear time induced. The optimal solution is derived in both cases. Numerical examples are discussed indicating the effects of nonlinearity in holding cost and demand.
