Abstract: Particle swarm optimisation with time-varying accelerator coefficients is a novel variant of particle swarm optimisation algorithm. Different from the standard version, the cognitive coefficient and social coefficient are both adjusting with the different generations to balance the exploitation and exploration capabilities. In this paper, particle swarm optimisation is incorporated into the methodology of DV-Hop algorithm to estimate the beacon nodes' positions. To show the performance, it is compared with other two algorithms, and simulation results show it is effective.
