Latin American J. of Management for Sustainable Development (LAJMSD), Vol. 4, No. 2, 2018

Abstract: This study aims to identify the global characteristics of the published literature about life cycle assessment (LCA) on logistics and its activities. A sample of publications was determined according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, being considered articles between the period of 2002 and 2016 in the Scopus database. The sample was quantitatively analysed in terms of year of publication, origin, subject categories and authorship. The VOSviewer software was used to view the content and co-citation network maps. The patterns found in the article sample indicate growth in the use of LCA in logistics. This study shows a quantitative analysis of the published literature in order to provide a theoretical reference for developing further researches in this area.
