Abstract: This paper addresses actuator and sensor faults reconstruction based on a new sliding mode observer (SMO) for output time-delay systems. Therefore, using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, the stability of the estimation error dynamics is guaranteed. Also, the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique is applied to express the observer synthesis. After that, the proposed SMO is used to obtain actuator and sensor faults reconstruction. To show the validity and the applicability of the proposed approaches, a numerical example is provided.
