Abstract: In programming development life cycle, testing assumes a significant part, which enhances the quality, dependability, and execution of the framework. For testing the functionality of software or program, test suites, an accumulation of test cases are created and it verifies software which operates in conformance with the requirement specification. Since large amounts of test cases are generated, it may be redundant. In this paper, the test suite can be drastically diminished by fusing data mining, philosophy of association rule mining technique in software testing. The proposed technique will reduce the redundant and irrelevant test suite in testing the software. It results in a healthier test suite, which saves time, effort, cost and results in better coverage analysis and efficiency. Lastly, this paper contrasts the proposed calculation and the existing one utilising case study analyses.
