Does personal growth initiative lead to impression management: role of personality?

Abstract: The rationale of the study is to examine the role of type A/B personality in personal growth initiative and impression management relationship. The study also examined relationship between personal growth initiative and impression management. It further investigates the impact of type A/B personality on impression management relationship. The sample comprised 324 middle level managers who were representatives of 15 private sector organisations in Delhi/NCR. For data analysis descriptive statistics, correlation and moderated regression were used. The results validate that role of type A/B personality between personal growth initiative and impression management relationship is of a moderator. The present study will prepare the organisations to dig into the arena of one of the personality variable, i.e., type A/B personality and its impact on impression management. The current research is one of the pioneers and vital in providing insights into role of type A/B personality, personal growth initiative and impression management.
