Abstract: State-of-the-art and prospects of nanomaterials development in Belarus are discussed. Also included are the mechanical alloying in attritors, equal channel angular pressing, thin films, nanowires, fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, nanodiamonds of detonation synthesis, diagnostics of nanoobjects, etc. The basic directions of R&am;D under the State Programme 'Nanomaterials and Nano-technologies' of 2003–2005 and trends in nanoelectronics are included.
