Abstract: In developing countries, along with increasing the role of women in various occupations, it seems necessary to focus more on factors that may affect female job satisfaction. This research aimed to investigate the effect of perception of ethical context (PEC) on job satisfaction, in a state university in northeast Iran, as well as examine the moderating role of employee work values. A sample of 210 respondents was selected by conducting simple random sampling techniques and using the Morgan table. Gathered data was analysed with statistical techniques such as mean test, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling in Warp PLS. Results indicated that PEC effects job satisfaction (β = .56). Furthermore, the moderating role of work values (β = .44) was confirmed. The relationship value and reward value had high significant effect on the relationship between ethics and job satisfaction.
