How to truly win in business with leadership - a case study report
by Brian J. Galli
Middle East J. of Management (MEJM), Vol. 4, No. 3, 2017

Abstract: This paper presents a case study analysis of the book entitled Winning, by Jack Welch (2005). It addresses the question of whether leadership styles should be result-oriented or people-oriented in the modern business environments. Jack Welch encompasses materials in his book that emphasise the importance of people-oriented leadership styles in order to reap the most benefits for a business. This paper presents a summary, the objective and target audience of the book, its structure and organisation, and an application of the book to choosing the best leadership style in modern business environments. The final section identifies the lessons that the reader ought to take away from reading the book.
