Barriers and challenges of Saudiasation: an integrative model

Abstract: This research aims to identify key powerful instrumental factors affecting the vigorous implementation of Saud iasation in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It makes an attempt to extract key issues of Saudiasation and proposes an integrative model outlining the possible solutions of identified challenges. Qualitative inductive method has been adopted by means of extensive literature review of articles, journals and previous studies about Saudiasation. The pivotal information in this regard has been extracted from local newspapers (i.e. Arab News) from 1 January 2014 to 1 January 2016. Extensive literature review was done to propose integrative model to tackle the identified challenges. The research findings unveil three major challenges that are hindering implementation of Saudiasation. These challenges have been categorised as follows: 1) individual challenges; 2) organisational Challenges and 3) governmental challenges, Based on the identified challenges, a model is proposed incorporating the solutions for all level of challenges. This categorisation and subsequent solution model has never been proposed in literature so far.
