International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 39, No. 4, 2005

Abstract: A detailed aerodynamic analysis of the swirl characteristics of an in-cylinder flow generated by a cylinder head engine is presented and that can be easily extended to the case of real in-cylinder engine flow. The article contributes to the reflection related to the pertinence to keep the characterisation of the swirl generation from the cylinder head in steady rigs.
