Abstract: In recent years, digital imaging is becoming very popular and user friendly. People have a number of choices and various ways to capture images anytime and anywhere. However, these captured images suffer from numerous errors like irregular illumination, loss in clarity, images with poor resolution, etc. Due to these reasons the image degrades its quality and also having a number of dark and bright regions. This paper deals with colour enhancement of low resolution digital images and focuses on pixel-by-pixel image enhancement. This can be achieved by using clock algorithm and it is based on the operation of analogue clock. This algorithm is aimed to provide better results as it works on gaining information from user and also from the surrounding areas of the region of image under processing.
