International Journal of Vehicle Noise and Vibration (IJVNV), Vol. 12, No. 4, 2016

Abstract: Structural dynamic characteristics of a passenger vehicle are identified through experimental and numerical studies. Apart from the literature, a manual adaptive method is proposed. First, panel contribution tests are performed on the full vehicle and on the body-in-white. Then, an experimental modal analysis is conducted on the body-in-white. The outcomes of experimental studies are correlated with the numerical ones. A verified modal model of the passenger vehicle is achieved.
