Abstract: In this paper, the authors have applied the SWOT and AHP strategy for quantitative analysis to investigate the basis of tourism development in ZZ City which researchers believed to have embedded with many historical significances. It is concluded from the analysis that, the industry has not been comparatively dominant due to inadequate media attention and news dissemination to promote the status of the industry which should have been one of many strategies in its transition stage to become a viable market, and it should take active pioneering strategy to meet better development. We believe the outcomes on this paper will serve as a guiding tool for authorities concerned to improve the expected status of this historic tourism center.
