Abstract: The paper presents the conception and evaluation of a lesson project with students in a German vocational school, which tried to foster their responsible and safe handling of the internet platform Facebook. The results of this explorative project do not only show exemplary effects, but also give a first idea into relevant aspects of a 'Facebook competence' with respect to digital cyberbullying, threats and other risks, using Facebook.
