Supply chain performance metrics framework: literature review and research issues

Abstract: This paper covered all the state of the art literature survey done on supply chain performance metrics up to date from the scientific journals, conference proceedings, case studies, white papers, books, internet and websites and developed a performance measure framework for performance metrics and finally identified the possible performance metrics from the review. Besides, the supply chain metrics of 25 top ranked companies in supply chain excellence are identified from the companies' performance report, research papers, case studies, white papers and websites to show the available current scenario of the metrics for benchmarking. This paper can be useful for researchers and practitioners as they can easily extract the existing supply chain metrics from this single document to further develop a framework depending up on the nature of the organisation considered. The future research directions are also suggested.
