Investigating a blended learning model in an online environment

Abstract: In this paper, the basic theory of blended learning was analysed, and a framework was established for studying the teaching model of blended learning in the network environment. The course of College English Listening was selected to exemplify the implementation of blended learning. Discussion was made on the content development, teaching design and implementation process of college courses oriented towards blended learning in the network environment. In addition, the effects and problems of blended learning were analysed. The results show the experimental class well mastered the main English listening strategies and could make use of them in the listening test skilfully.
