Abstract: An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system refers to a software solution coupled with business information and functionality presented in a single organisational database. However, studies concerning the system in the context of Jordan, particularly those that determine the primary factors affecting the ERP implementation system are still scarce. Accordingly, the present study, the factors that affect implementation of ERP system among Jordanian firms were examined. The study developed and employed a conceptual model to relate organisational factors of user satisfaction (US), organisational leadership (OL), training of users (TU) and lack of communication (LC). Literature concerning ERP systems and its successful implementation was reviewed after which a research framework and the relevant hypotheses were proposed. The research method was selected that explained the data collection process. The research method was followed by data analysis and the discussion of findings. The conclusions and implications for future studies were provided towards the end.
