Sentiment analysis in assessing mobile learning adoption in education sector

Abstract: Mobile learning has been the latest educational learning technology which extends the benefits of e-learning from providing anywhere anytime learning to on the move learning. Though mobile learning is being increasingly popular amongst students due to the undisputed popularity of mobile phones amongst the youngsters, but there are still many apprehensions among the faculty fraternity in adopting or using it for teaching and other educational purposes. This paper discusses various sentiments and opinions of faculty about m-learning and its usage for educational purposes and also investigates use of sentiment analysis for analysing those sentiments. Sentiment analysis or opinion mining is an important research area which is recently being applied in various domains like marketing, businesses, etc., for understanding their behavioural patterns of the user or customer. This paper presents use of aspect level sentiment analysis for identifying and expressing the polarity of the faculty attitude and their opinions towards m-learning.
