Abstract: The paper presents improved method for imposition of displacement boundary conditions in the element free Galerkin method. The proposed method uses the different approach for imposition of displacement boundary conditions. The computer time required using this method is comparatively lesser in comparison to Lagrange multiplier and penalty method which are generally applied for imposition of displacement boundary conditions in element free Galerkin method.
