Abstract: Turkey has faced an essential shift in healthcare services due to the establishment of healthcare information standards with a common database. We focus on assessing the progress made towards realising the operation of new health informatics with aims to present an analysis of the compatibility of the new management systems with the tasks carried out by physicians. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of task, user and information management system (IMS) characteristics on users' perceived task-technology fit (TTF). Adapting items from the literature, data were collected from six private hospital chains in Turkey and analysed for statistically significant relationships. The analyses indicated that task, technology, and user characteristics had effects on TTF. Technology characteristics were found to be the most effective variable in TTF at Turkish private hospitals.
