The role of dynamic capability in intellectual capital and innovative performance

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to survey the relationship between intellectual capital and dynamic capability with innovative performance to help organisations to operate their innovations by using their intellectual capital and dynamic capability to achieve innovations and gain competitive advantage. The survey was intended to investigate Imam Port Petrochemical that includes six petrochemical companies. Statistical techniques used in the present study include t-value test, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations to analyse data. The results showed that intellectual capital and dynamic capability directly affect innovative performance. In other words, the relationship between learning and innovative performance was verified. Except relationship between human capital and relational capital, others sub-hypotheses are significant. According to findings, managers suggested trying to upgrade knowledge and skill and personnel training by using intellectual capital and dynamic capability as a stimulators to make innovation and competitive production which perform the best to face changing environments and stabilise in the competitive world.
