Transport related environmental research in Austria
by Karl W. Steininger
International Journal of Environmental Technology and Management (IJETM), Vol. 1, No. 3, 2001

Abstract: This paper surveys the transport related environmental research carried out in Austria. To make results comparable at the European level, the following commonly agreed criteria are used for its classification: intrinsic characteristics (problem definition, policy strategies, theoretical assumptions, method, and data) and meta-characteristics (scientific innovation, and contribution to real policy-making). Certain research issues arise from Austria's specific location and topography.
