Abstract: The paper deals with connections between solar flare activities and light-trap catch of caddisfly (Trichoptera) species. We worked on our own collected data from the years 1980-2000. With the help of nonlinear regression, we have found a special characteristic curve with two peaks which was followed practically by all species collected in different similarity groups of specialities. Thus, by evaluating the light-trap catches a strong modifying effect of solar flares has to be considered. We think about it as an open problem to reveal and ask the researchers worldwide to present their observation results and discuss about this.
