Abstract: For emerging technologies, such as nano-enabled drug delivery (NEDD), collaboration acquires a special significance for technology innovation and development. Companies, academic teams, and other organisations play important roles in collaborative networks. In this paper, we conduct a collaboration study in the field of NEDD by using patent data. Key actors and evolution of the network are explored. Although collaboration improves the value of patents, the connections in the NEDD collaborative network are not consolidated. It is worthwhile for different organisations to establish collaborative relations to access external knowledge and resources.
