Abstract: To meet the future bandwidth and ultra high-speed communication demands, optical signal devices are demonstrated. In this paper, we have presented a new scheme to design and implement RNS adder and multiplier circuits optically. The fundamental idea is 'One-Hot' in RNS design, and the basic element is ultimate fast optical switches. The function of the RNS adder and multiplier can be obtained by connecting input and output ports of optical switches appropriately. In these RNS circuits, owing to limited carry propagation, and applying fast optical switches as a core element, computation can be performed in parallel with high speed. The simulation results by means of OptiSystem simulator confirming the described method are given in this paper.
