Abstract: RFID is a powerful medium for identification of any object and leads all methods in auto ID umbrella. RFID plays major role in auto ID applications like contact less smart cards used by bus riders, in supermarket, textiles and logistics chain management. In library management also RFID tags are used for books identification. Here we have proposed a method for arranging the books in the library using an AT (Automated Trolley) with the help of RFID technology. Each book in the library is given a unique RFID tag with which the books are identified. To guide AT to the target slot in the particular rack RFID tags are pasted in the path.
