Abstract: The dynamic model of integrated active steering and semi-active suspension system is set up. The coupling relationship between the two subsystems of the chassis was analysed, and the evaluation indexes and quantisation formulas of the integrated system are proposed. According to the characteristics of multi-target and high-dimensional functions of constrained optimisation for the chassis system, an improved Memetic algorithm which combines with the artificial bee colony algorithm is designed on the basis of the Memetic bionic intelligent algorithm. The parameters of the chassis system are optimised, taking steering road feel, steering sensitivity and ride performance as optimisation objectives, and steering stability and steering sensitivity as optimisation constraints. The simulation results show that the integrated optimisation method can balance the relationship between the vehicle handling stability and the ride performance, thus improving the vehicle comprehensive performance effectively.
