Abstract: Game developing requires a lot of specialist such as programmers, planners, designers, sound engineers, service operators, and so on. The role of the programmer is to program a game to get full performance by taking full advantage of a given hardware. Game authoring tools make game programming easy. But, the game produced by the authoring tools is very limited. In this paper, we propose an easy-to-learn game programming engine written in Python programming language. Anyone can program a shooting game easily using the proposed engine, wxgame2. It was made in accordance to the philosophy of Python programming language. The engine provides a basic shooting game framework, which shows the necessary programming skills and the way of programming a shooting game in Python. Python makes the framework and samples easy to understand. Even non-experts easily will be able to learn the game programming.
