Abstract: The recent researches on the prevention of traffic accidents are apt to rely on IT technology as a means of reducing traffic accidents. However, it should be very difficult to find out the accident-causing vehicle once that vehicle left the scene of accident intentionally. In order to clear such a problem, the RFID tag was used in this research. Moreover, in this paper, simulation experiment to compute the optimal safety speed for the prevention of traffic accident was conducted in this research and that experiment intended to prevent such large scale traffic accident as multiple pile up on the section of heavy mist or frozen surface. In this paper, simulation experiment has confirmed that the probability of fault detection improved by 30%, compared to the existing method.
