Abstract: In recent years, as a branch of information security, information hiding is becoming more and more important. RAR is one of the most popular compressed document standards and can be a carrier to hide information. We research the format of RAR document format and put forward a novel information hiding method in this paper. Proved by theories and experiments, the mechanism has good concealment and robustness which can achieve the purpose of information hiding.
