Abstract: Bluetooth technology has been mature in recent years. However, some functions in Bluetooth devices are still not realised, such as transmitting file(s) between an Android mobile device and a Bluetooth headset, replying mobile phone messages by Bluetooth controllers and so on. In this paper, we propose an innovative method to research Bluetooth protocols. It is by modifying the Android kernel source code and then placing the output messages between the Bluetooth devices into a log file. Through the method, we can export the log file, which contains the message data between Bluetooth devices and research on Bluetooth protocol principle and the format of the protocol packets.
