Abstract: The presence of stress sensitivity in abnormal high pressure gas reservoir will reduce the deliverability of gas wells. The permeability stress sensitivity must be taken into account in the calculation of gas well deliverability. Herein the deliverability test data of a gas well is taken as an example, and its deliverability is calculated by the adoption of pressure-squared, pseudo-pressure and enhanced pseudo-pressure type equation, which take into consideration the stress sensitivity. It is shown from the results that permeability stress sensitivity should be considered when constructing the productivity equation, and the pressure-squared methods can be approximately applied to calculate deliverability. On the basis of the study of the effect of permeability stress sensitivity on gas well deliverability, it was found that the stronger the stress sensitivity is, the lower its deliverability becomes.
