On the thermo-economic optimisation of multistage flash evaporation desalination plants
by Mehmet Sait Söylemez
International Journal of Nuclear Governance, Economy and Ecology (IJNGEE), Vol. 4, No. 2, 2014

Abstract: A thermo-economic optimisation analysis is presented yielding simple algebraic formulae for estimating the optimum number of desalination stages, condensing unit and brine heater size with operating temperatures for distilled water production. The P1-P2 method is used in the present study, together with the thermo-economic analyses of desalination equipments.
