A simulation study on warehouse loading system: the case of poultry feed production factory

Abstract: In this paper, a simulation study is performed in a loading and unloading system using Arena software. The aim of the study is to obtain a strategy for optimising the time of trucks loading and unloading. The processes in the unloading system include checking, unloading, arranging and control, and storage of material. These processes in loading system include delivery order, control, guaranteeing, loading and checking the load on the lorry. The study deals with worker recruitment and waiting time in various processes until dissolve problems. Decreasing both the processing time and the long queues in the loading and unloading are the considerable results of the research.
