Abstract: In this study of natural convection heat transfer, fluid flow and entropy generation in an inclined porous medium is numerically investigated, whilst flow field is under magnetic field. The left wall of enclosure is heated and the right wall is cooled isothermally. Horizontal walls of the enclosure are adiabatic. The governing equations are numerically solved in the domain by the control volume approach based on the SIMPLE technique. Numerical studies are performed over a range of Hartmann number, Rayleigh number, inclination angle and irreversibility distribution ratio. The influence of these parameters on the flow and heat transfer characteristics and the entropy generation is investigated. Computations show excellent agreement with the literature. The obtained results indicate that the magnetic strength and rotation of enclosure can be used as control elements for heat transfer, fluid flow and entropy generation in a porous medium.
