Population growth and energy demand in Western Asia

Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between population and energy demand in West Asian countries. A strong positive relationship is found to exist. Policies influencing the rate of growth in population will thus affect energy demand and prospects for achieving sustainable development goals.
