Abstract: This paper concerns a comparative analysis of the performance of eight well established and widely used, cubic and non-cubic equations of state in predicting PVT data of pure nonpolar polyatomic-fluids. Twenty different fluid systems under wide ranges of temperature and pressure, covering the gaseous and liquid phases of these systems are used. This analysis clearly determines and classifies equations of state according to their prediction accuracy and degree of complexity.
