International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology (IJCAT), Vol. 9, No. 2/3, 1996

Abstract: Group decision making is a key activity in firms of all sizes. A great deal of research has been directed toward improving the effectiveness of group meetings through the use of electronic meeting rooms without the desired results. As an alternative, this paper examines the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a group decision support tool. The paper outlines the benefits and effectiveness of AHP as a group decision support tool, and elaborates on the details of its application to a business organisation in the form of a case study.
