International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 16, No. 4/5, 1995

Abstract: This paper presents a new universal method for determining train values for ordinary and planetary gear trains which has been developed on the basis of defining the general equation of power and then the general equation of motion has been derived using simple mathematical relationships. Then, the general equation of motion has been applied to determine train values for the Wilson planetary gear transmission as a numerical example.
