Abstract: With the air flow program PHOENICS, the air flow and contaminant concentration has been calculated in a passenger vehicle. Several positions of air supply and exhaust openings were examined and the velocity, temperature and concentration fields were compared. From these results the best solutions were selected in order to find the most comfortable indoor climate with respect to temperature and contaminant concentration. The risk of condensation on the windows was also considered.
